Simon Murphy (Pharmacist/Owner)

Completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy at Otago University, qualified as a pharmacist in 1990 and he has worked in a variety of pharmacies around Christchurch. In 2006 he moved to Ireland with his family and had 18 months in South West Cork before returning to Christchurch. Simon and George have three teenage children who keep them busy. Simon is a keen golfer and enjoys following the children's sporting endeavors. Hillmorton Pharmacy is the first pharmacy that Simon and George have owned, and in 2019 they celebrated 10 years in business.

Georgina Murphy

Has taken a more hands-on role in the Pharmacy as the children have got older.

George now has a more active role in the shop besides continuing to do the accounts and payroll.

Outside work George enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and plays tennis and hockey.

Sara

Qualified Dispensary Technician who has not only been with us since 2009 but has been at Hillmorton Pharmacy for over 30 years.

Sara brings a wealth of local knowledge to our team and enjoys a rapport with the local customers that she has seen grow from children into adults.

Tina

Joined our staff in 2013. Tina has worked in pharmacy since leaving High School and brings plenty of experience to her role as Retail Manager.

She has a broad knowledge of "over the counter" medicines and natural health products. Tina loves being a mum and spending time with family. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym.

Jamie (pharmacist)

Jamie joined our team in June 2021 after qualifying and working in several pharmacies around Christchurch.

She is looking forward to being part of a community team and making connections with our locals.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking and looking after her golden retriever called Arthur

Anna (intern pharmacist)

We welcome Anna to our Hillmorton Pharmacy family.

Anna has completed her 4 year Pharmacy degree, and will spend the next 12 months with us completing her internship, on her way to becoming a qualified pharmacist.

Anna is pleased to be back in her home town, and is looking forward to spending time with friends and family.
